Shiner follows two 13-year old outcasts who bond over the grunge sounds of the 90s. When Margot introduces bands like Joy Division and Sonic Youth to Jake, he breathes in the new music like pure alpine air. Dispirited by the commercialism and phoniness of the LA suburbs, the two make a pact to die happy after attending “the greatest concert ever,” but the suicide of Kurt Cobain casts a pall over their plans.

Because September is National Suicide Prevention month, we are pleased to partner with Catalyst for Change and Lewis & Clark County Public Health. These organizations will present a short informational presentation after each showing of the play.
